Life After Sports

The season ended. Now what?

For years, your schedule, your teammates, your goals, and your sense of who you are were built around your sport.

Then graduation hits, and suddenly nobody is telling you what comes next.

You might notice anxiety or overthinking, a restless feeling that something is missing, trouble finding purpose in a 9-to-5, or grief for your team that you can’t quite explain.

None of that means something is wrong with you. It means you lost something that mattered.

Why this is different

I played Division I lacrosse, was drafted to play professionally, and coached at the Division I level before becoming a therapist.

I’ve lived the identity shift of leaving sport, so you don’t have to explain what a locker room, a travel weekend, or a season ending feels like.

What we work on together

  • Rebuilding identity beyond your sport

  • Anxiety, stress, and overthinking

  • Finding structure, purpose, and motivation outside of competition

  • Adjusting to the working world

  • Relationships and community after losing your team

How it works

Sessions are virtual for adults across New York, practical and collaborative, using ACT, mindfulness, and CBT-informed tools.

I accept most major insurances, and the first step is a free 15-minute consultation.
